I strongly advise against purchasing this product. The jacket has a fundamental design flaw, which RAB is well aware of. The primary issue lies with the seams securing the pockets, which are not properly taped. As a result, water easily seeps through these seams into the pockets, leaving items like your phone exposed to moisture. This is entirely unacceptable for a Gore-Tex jacket and falls short of the standards one would expect from a brand like RAB. To my surprise, RAB displayed an uncharacteristic level of arrogance when I reported this issue, which I had not encountered with other brands. In my opinion, if a product is marketed as waterproof, that should unequivocally include the pockets.

A 2 way fly is definitely a solution in search of a problem 😂

I bought this and the Rab Resolution. It's a shame this isn't also waterproof like the Resolution because it feels far superior. If it was waterproof I'd have sent the Rab back. Sadly it isn't....so I kept both 😅

Good review, a solid option. I like rucksacks like this - quite simple, but with some handy features. These old reviews also have a use - we can compare older models with the new stuff - seeing if manufacturers have evolved successful designs, or rolled out totally new stuff... etc. If I have a grievance with some of the new options - it's the tendency for the sternum straps to be retained on the shoulder straps via little tubular sections of material - a clip of sorts slides up and down the tube sections, for adjustment... It always strikes me that these design aren't massively strong, and would be awkward to fashion a repair with. Berghaus still have 1-2 designs where there is a loop of material which goes wholly around the shoulder strap (the military-esque range) - which, can iirc still be bought as a single/replacement item.

Not all Tilley hats are made in China. I just bought a new T3, which was the original design (not the T3 Wanderer as stated incorrectly on the video) and it was made in Canada. Several other models are still made in Canada. I also bought a TM5 Lightweight and it was made in China. Cheers from a proud Canadian hat wearer. 🇨🇦

An advice on a RAB CIRRUS JACKET, the insulation appears to have bobbled and when held up to the light you can see through the fabric. If wearing a dark tshirt you can see it. Thanks

It's the least waterproof jacket Rab make.. it's not fully waterproof. 10,000mm.

I am currently thinking about Kayaking the river Nene in May this year from Northampton to the Dog and Doublet Lock outside Peterborough and I was hoping you might be able to help me please.
